+== About PP Packs generally ==

+  * A PP pack is a “Pull Pack.”  A pull pack is a set of envelopes tied together with a string.  One pack or taba (束) typically had 33 envelopes, and 1 card (usually a prism) taped to the front.  In early sets, the front card was attached to the Pack directly with tape.  Out of the 33 envelopes, 30 contained regular cards, while 3 contained special cards, usually prisms or foils.  3 envelopes contained a small piece of paper that said atari (winner/lucky ticket) あたり.
+  * Although most collectors buy the entire PP pack, PP cards were designed to be sold by the individual envelope.  A buyer pulled a single envelope from the pack at the store.  If the envelope contained an winner (atari) slip, then the buyer could pull another envelope for free.
