Special card variants had the same image as the regular special cards.  The variant has a gold gilt embossed logo in the upper right with the words "To save this earth, we'll safeguard our dream." It also does not have the word RAYEARTH on the bottom of the card.  (Kerochan describes this as the "R-Stamp Version") 

Publisher is often listed as Kodansha or Movic, but according to the box itself, the publisher was Face.

There were also inserts, a "hazure" (losing) insert, and presumably an "atari" (winning) insert.
